The specialization in psychology of children, adolescents and families provides knowledge about the diagnosis and therapy of children and teenagers as well as their families. The curriculum focuses on a multifaceted understanding of specific dilemmas of childhood and adolescence. It also looks more broadly at the context of symptoms, the aetiology of difficulties, developmental disorders and wider family relationships. Psychology of children, adolescents and families as a study programme is addressed to people who are interested in the psychology of human development and feel the need to help young people in their quest to discover their own self. Candidates should be open to new experiences and remain sensitive to the issues of childhood and adolescence. In addition, the studies analyse various psychotherapeutic approaches and techniques.

While 20 years ago it was possible to wonder whether the nascent neuromarketing would strengthen its position in the world of science and business, today no one has any doubts about it.

The largest corporations in the world, such as Coca-Cola Company, General Motors and Volkswagen, are interested in neuromarketing, and at the same time it also attracts leading scientists, including Nobel laureates, such as prof. Eric Kandel, a member of the scientific council of NeuroFocus, a company that provides neuromarketing services.

The study programme prepares – both theoretically and practically – for the profession of a psychologist working with people practising sports and undergoing biological regeneration or rehabilitation, as well as contestants in competitive sports and personal trainers. The aim of the course is to provide students with the latest knowledge in sports psychology and equip them with basic psychological skills required for a psychological practice in the field of sports, physical education and recreation. Students will learn how to use their knowledge in solving specific psychological problems arising from sports training and combat. The work of psychologists in sports is becoming increasingly important these days. The task of sports psychologists is to support the development of athletes of various disciplines and to work on their motivation and problem-solving, both in the context of amateur and professional sports.
