Finances and Accounting – Second Degree Studies

FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME

Studies in the field of Audit and Financial Control create opportunities to acquire advanced knowledge and skills when it comes to conducting control and internal audit processes while highlighting on their role within modern and developing organizations. The programme of study covers practical knowledge in the field of risk management and analysis, operational improvements to an organization, creation and analysis of the functioning of internal control units as well as management control and internal audit within institutions operating across private and public sectors.

This study course provides for a theoretical and practical preparation to work within independent units related to process management and implementation of tasks in a banking institution, financial intermediaries or as part of one’s own business. The study programme covers such issues as economic and financial structures of the European Union, profitability analyses, matching products and services to customer needs, credit risk assessments, market and operational risk analyses as well as personal finances planning and management of corporate finances.

As part of this study programme, students learn about the specifics of small and medium-sized enterprises, gaining knowledge and skills necessary to prosper as entrepreneurs in a competitive market. The course curriculum creates possibilities of acquiring skills and social competences relevant to the development processes of the modern-day economy.

This course of study is designed to familiarize students with the main issues concerning international finances and financial markets as well as the main theories and practices of international finances management. In particular, the following subjects are analysed as part of the programme curriculum: principles of the functioning of currency markets, modern financial engineering instruments of international corporations, exchange rate risk management techniques, optimization of sources of financing for international corporations as well as the main problems faced when investing in foreign assets.

The study programme allows students to acquire knowledge facilitating the understanding of financial processes taking place within businesses. Students will have acquired skills and competences necessary for the preparation of various analyses, interpretation of financial and accounting data as well as making management decisions. The curriculum presents crucial elements of the investment process and provides for the opportunity to understand and utilize all the tools necessary for an effective management as part of a controlling process.

This study programme prepares students for the profession in financial management. Graduates will have been equipped with competences enabling them to make various development decisions regarding the functioning of an enterprise.

The main aim of this study programme is to provide up-to-date and practical knowledge in the field of finances and accounting principles of public finance sector entities. Completing the programme will allow graduates to gain qualifications and obtain competences needed to undertake work in the field of accounting and finances within departments of public finance sector units.

This study programme offers students an opportunity to understand the mechanisms governing risk management systems and how to use them to facilitate the rate of profitability of a business, while skilfully determining the level of risks taken. The curriculum covers different aspects of risk management in such sectors as IT and banking as well as private and public companies.

The study programme develops necessary competences that allow graduates to embark upon a professional career in the field of accounting, financial management or consulting. The curriculum prepares students to acquire better understanding and expand their knowledge in terms of such topics as economics, finances and accounting. Thanks to its programme content, the course prepares for a competitive labour market.

The aim of this study programme is to equip graduates with comprehensive knowledge and skills to independently run an accounting office or work in financial, accounting, tax as well as HR departments. Graduates will be able to prepare financial statements, fill out tax returns and declarations. The acquired knowledge and skills will also facilitate financial analysis and tax optimization understanding among the graduates.
