National scientific conference “Stop suicides among children and adolescents” in Rzeszów

On 16 November, Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” organised a conference on the subject of suicides among children and adolescents in Rzeszów. It was held in cooperation with the Podkarpackie Complex of Provincial Posts in Rzeszów.

During the conference, experts from the field of psychology as well as various representatives of the academic community and our lecturers addressed such topics as: death through the eyes of a child, causes of suicides among children and adolescents, suicides and the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers as first-contact rescuers.

The conference was attended by the following guests: dr Ewa Leniart – Podkarpackie Voivode, Mr Władysław Ortyl – Marshal of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, Ms Małgorzata Rauch – Podkarpackie Education Superintendent, Ms Magdalena Zorić, MA, med. dr Marzena Pelc-Dymon, prof. CH dr Artur Grzesik, Dariusz Miziołek, MA, Ms Agnieszka Jankowska-Rachel, dr Stanisław Kusiak, prof. CH dr Henryk Pietrzak.

The conference was held under the Honorary Patronage of the First Lady of the Republic of Poland, Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda. The programme of the conference was recommended by the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.

The conference was also held under the patronage of the Podkarpackie Complex of Provincial Posts in Rzeszów, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy and the Les Orphelins Association.
