Martyna Kierczyńska, our student of Psychology, with gold at the European Games
We are pleased to announce that Martyna Kierczyńska, our student of Psychology and member of the AZS at Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” in Poznań, secured the winning place on the podium in the Muaythai discipline up to 54 kg in the women’s category during the recent European Games Kraków-Małopolska 2023.
Regarding her path to victory, our gold medalist has said:
“I won the quarter-finals with the same number of points as my Czech rival. A strong competitor from Georgia was then awaiting in the semi-finals. After three hard rounds, I secured advancement to the finals. In the final fight, I faced a Belgian competitor with many titles and it was a good fight – from the first to the last second – I won by a unanimous decision of the judges. After three strong duels, I could finally take the highest place on the podium and hear our national anthem. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this huge success. Many thanks to Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia”, where I have the pleasure of studying, for helping me finance my participation in such a prestigious event.”
