Inauguration of the academic year 2021/22 in our University branch in Poznań
On 16 October 2021, in the Andersia Hotel, surrounded by students, lecturers and invited guests, the Provost of Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia”, prof. dr hab. Paweł Czarnecki MBA, Dr. h.c., officially inaugurated the 2021/22 Academic Year for the Poznań branch of our University.
The inauguration ceremony began with a speech by prof. Czarnecki. Whereas Vice Provost of the branch in Poznań, Mr. Piotr Dwornicki, BA, MBA, presented a letter with wishes for all the students and lecturers of Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” on behalf of the Voivode of the Wielkopolska Voivodehip, Mr. Michał Zieliński.
One of the most important events of the Inauguration was the matriculation of our first-year students of Psychology and Management, which was performed by His Magnificence, the Provost. After completing the oath, students present during the ceremony received symbolic badges of Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia”.
Moreover, new appointments were also made to the Business Consultative Council of the University. Hence, Ms. Aneta Kłopot-Wartecka, Head of the County Job Office in Środa Wielkopolska as well as dr. Marek Czaplicki, Director of the Provincial Hospital for the Mentally Disordered in Gniezno, received their appointments from the Provost.
A ceremonial nomination for the position of an Ambassador of Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” was also bestowed upon Ms. Justyna Franieczek, an athlete and bronze medallist in the World Para Athletic European Championships, finalist in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo and member of the Sports Council at the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Office.
An inaugural lecture on “COVID-19 and mental health” was delivered by dr. Artur de Rosier, President of the Wielkopolska Medical Chamber and lecturer at Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia”. Finally, the ceremony was graced by the performance of the Choir of the Grand Theatre of Stanisław Moniuszko in Poznań.
