Cooperation with the International Police Association (IPA)
On May 24 this year, at the headquarters of Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” in Warsaw, HM Provost – prof. dr hab. Paweł Czarnecki, MBA, dr h.c. signed a cooperation agreement with the International Police Association (IPA) represented by Mr Piotr Wójcik, the President of the Polish Branch of IPA, and Ms Ewa Dębowska, Secretary General of the Branch.
The International Police Association was founded in 1950. Currently, it has almost 400 thousand members from 65 countries. It is politically, economically and religiously neutral, and its membership obliges members to abide by the Declaration of Human Rights defined in 1948. The aim of IPA is to create a bond of genuine friendships and professional camaraderie among the police officers around the world. IPA implements its motto of “Servo Per Amikeco” (Esperanto: “To serve through friendship”) through various activities and initiatives, including developing cooperation with selected entities. IPA has a consultative status with the United Nations (UN) and in the Council of Europe. The Polish Branch of IPA has been operating since 2003.
