Christmas Eve in Wrocław
On 14 December, Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” – Branch in Wrocław held its Christmas Eve meeting for students, lecturers and partners of the University. The meeting was organised at our Branch’s seat in Wrocław at ul. Oławska 11.
The meeting began with a welcome note by the Director of the Institute of Psychology, dr Magdalena Żołud, professor of Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia”. Then, the Provost turned on the lights on a Christmas tree and expressed his thanks to everyone who contributed to the work undertaken in the past year at the University. He then wished everyone beautiful holidays and a wonderful New Year.
The President of the Student Union at Uczelnia Biznesu i Nauk Stosowanych „Varsovia” – Branch in Wrocław, Mr Filip Leszczyński, also sent his best Christmas wishes to the members of our academic community.
Christmas Eve wafers were blessed by rev. maj. Maksymilian Jezierski, Chaplain of the Land Forces Academy and the Engineering and Chemical Forces Training Centre from the military-civil parish of St. Elizabeth.
Prof. Czarnecki then shared the wafer with the representatives of the Student Union, students, lecturers and partners of the University present at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the following guests: dr Róża Gumienna, Kick-boxing World Champion and MMA competitor, Mr Krzysztof Grzelczyk, former Consul General of Poland in Toronto, former Voivode of Lower Silesia and a nominee Ambassador in North Macedonia, Mr Mariusz Bogucki representing the Sports Agency “Around the sport” and Ms Grażyna Skurczyńska from the INME School of Social Competences.
Our MBA graduate and singer, who won “Szansa na sukces” singing contest and Opole Debuts Song Contest 2022, Mr Wiktor Kowalski, created an amazing festive atmosphere. We sang many beautiful Christmas carols, while enjoying warm conversations and delicious Christmas Eve treats. Students also received Christmas gifts from Santa Claus.
